Other prerequisites
CHEK Practitioner License requires completing both training tracks: Integrated Movement Science (IMS) and Holistic Lifestyle Coaching (HLC). Practitioner Level 1 requires IMS Level 1 (online or live 5-day class) and HLC Level 1 (online or live 3-day class). HLC Level 1 prerequisite: the book 'How to Eat, Move and Be Healthy!' by Paul Chek; IMS Level 1 prerequisite online courses: Scientific Core Conditioning, Scientific Back Training, Program Design. To receive the CHEK Practitioner Level 1 License you must participate in a live skills review. The Integrated Health Foundation (Practitioner 1) entry program states 'There are no prerequisites — this is our foundation course.'

No age or academic education requirement stated for the Practitioner license. 'Current hands-on CPR certification' and current liability insurance are listed as requirements in the annual license renewal process (step 4) and the late renewal process; the evidence does not state them as entry prerequisites. A Bachelor's in a medical field is required only for the separate Individual/Medical Facility License options. CHEK licensing is a professional training designation, not government licensure.

Deadline rule
Submit the renewal application on or before the date your license expires; if the deadline is missed, contact the Education Department within 30 days to avoid losing qualifications. Missing the deadline by 30 days or more requires the Late Renewal Process.

Annual license renewal: earn 15 PDCs during the license period (listing course name, organisation, PDC value, completion date), submit the CHEK License Renewal Application, pay the annual license fee, and hold current hands-on CPR certification and current liability insurance. Four license types (Individual Professional, Professional Facility, Individual Medical, Medical Facility) each require 15 PDCs. Late Renewal Process: no PDCs needed — pay US$120 and pass an exam or submit a case history for the highest-level Advanced Training Program completed in each ATP category; license is then renewed for one year from the date conferred. CHEK licensing is a professional training designation, not government licensure.
