Deadline rule
All requirements must be completed on or before the last day of the 3-year CEU cycle; current cycle runs August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2028 (deadline July 31, 2028). CPR/AED and First Aid must be valid on/after July 31, 2028.

MSCC is maintained by (1) maintaining SCCC certification, which requires each 3-year CEU cycle: 45 CEUs, current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, passing the Health & Safety Quiz, signing the CSCCa Code of Conduct, and paying any outstanding account fees; (2) paying annual CSCCa membership dues (required for MSCC, though not for SCCC alone); and (3) maintaining good standing under the Code of Conduct. 15 CEUs per year recommended. Retired MSCCs who no longer maintain SCCC may apply for MSCC-Emeritus status. Failure to meet requirements results in loss of SCCC certification; reinstatement possible in the following CEU cycle (effective Jan 1, 2026: $75 members / $100 non-members), otherwise the written SCCC exam must be retaken.
