Deadline rule
Renewal available only within 90 days prior to the certification expiration date and up to 6 months after expiration; after that window the certification must be re-earned by retaking the 100-question certification exam. New expiration is two years from the date the renewal exam is passed.

Renewal is accomplished by purchasing and completing the $25.00 FiTOUR Continuing Education Credit renewal course and its 25-question multiple choice/true-false exam (3 consecutive hour time limit, one attempt, 75% passing). A retest (2nd exam) costs $25 and must be purchased within 6 months of the original exam. No CEU hour totals from outside providers are specified. If renewal lapses beyond 6 months, the 100-question certification exam costs $49.99 (retests $25 each).
