Eligibility & examination

Eligibility

Minimum age
unknown
Education
Not stated for the Diploma itself; described as a "postgraduate level professional/applied focused Diploma program." Completion requires passing the CISSN exam, for which ISSN states "It is required that you have a 4-year undergraduate college degree; if you do not have a 4-year college degree, email us with your credentials and we will consider it on a case by case basis."
Degree required
unknown
Degree field
For CISSN: a 4-year degree in an unrelated field is still eligible; a semester-long college-level Sports Nutrition course is "highly recommended (but not mandatory)"
Experience
None stated for the Diploma. CISSN alternate pathway (without a 4-year degree): practicing in the field at least five years, paid ISSN member, certified as a trainer by NSCA, ACE or ACSM, and attendance (with proof) at three ISSN National Conferences in the past 4 years.
CPR/AED
unknown
Other prerequisites
Registration for the Diploma course is done on the Guru Performance site (not the ISSN). ISSN membership is required to take/receive the certificate for the CISSN exam (or pay the $999 non-member exam price).

Evidence page for the Diploma gives no explicit enrollment prerequisites; degree/experience details come from the linked CISSN exam requirements, since "The final step in completing the Diploma course is successful passing of the CISSN."
