Renewal & CEU requirements
Renew via Student Portal (My Account → Renewal); processing 3–5 business days. Requirements: 20 CEUs, current CPR/AED certification (must be valid at least 30 days beyond submission date; most online and in-person CPR certs accepted), and portal submission. Standard renewal fee $99, waived if all 20 CEUs are completed through ISSA. 'Certify for Life' option eliminates future renewal fees. Excess CEUs do not carry over to the next period; all 20 CEUs may come from a single source. Documentation (certificate of completion, transcript with grade, or proof of attendance) required for CEU approval.
CEU recognition
- ISSA (accepting outside/third-party continuing education) — accepts ceus fromThird-party CEUs must meet ISSA CEU requirements and are subject to review; approved sources include ISSA CE courses, industry conferences/workshops, college/university courses, industry certifications, internships, and published articles. Documentation uploaded via Student Portal, 3–5 business days for approval.
