NASM states the PES credential does not require renewal and does not expire once the exam is passed. Program access lasts five years from purchase and the exam must be taken within one year of purchase. Blog evidence confirms most NASM specializations do not require renewal (CNC being the exception, renewing every two years with 1.9 NASM CEUs). The PES itself awards 1.9 NASM CEUs that count toward NASM-CPT/PTC renewal (2.0 CEUs every two years).
