NASM states the Senior Fitness Specialization credential does not expire or require renewal once the exam is passed; the digital badge likewise lists 'Does not expire.' NASM's recertification page lists only NASM/AFAA certifications (CPT, PTC, ICPT, CGFI, CICI, PFT, PGE, CWC, CNC, CSNC) as requiring biennial renewal — specializations such as SFS are not listed. Completing SFS itself yields 1.5 NASM CEUs that can be applied toward renewing an NASM certification (e.g., NASM-CPT).
