NASM states that once the WFS exam is passed, the specialization credential does not expire or require renewal. WFS is an advanced specialization, not an NCCA-accredited certification, and is not listed among the NASM/AFAA credentials requiring biennial recertification. The course itself is worth 1.5 NASM CEUs that can be applied toward renewal of an existing NASM certification (e.g., NASM-CPT, which requires 2.0 CEUs every two years including 0.1 CEU CPR/AED).
