Certification valid 2 years. May renew up to 6 months before expiration and keep original expiration date. A $20 late fee applies if not renewed by the expiration date; 6-month grace period after expiration, after which the certification is forfeited and the course must be retaken (or an extension applied for).

Must submit 20 hours of CECs earned after the certification's renewal date; excess hours above 20 do not carry over. CEC Video FAQ states 2 of the 20 credits must come from SCW Fitness. CPR credits are not accepted toward the 20 CECs and a CPR card copy is no longer required. This course itself awards SCW 6.0, AFAA 6.0, NASM 0.6, AEA 6.0, ACSM 6.0, ACE 0.7 credits.
