Certification valid 2 years; may renew up to 6 months before expiration while keeping original date. Up to 6 months after expiration to renew (late fee applies); after 6 months the certification is forfeited and the course must be retaken (or an extension applied for).

Must submit 20 hours of CECs earned after the certification's renewal date; excess hours above 20 do not carry over. One exam page states a minimum of 2 of the 20 CECs must come from SCW Fitness. CPR credits are not accepted toward the 20 CECs and a CPR card copy is no longer required.
