Certification valid 2 years. May renew up to 6 months in advance and keep original expiration date. Renewal after expiration incurs a $20 late fee; if not renewed within 6 months of expiration the certification is forfeited and the course must be retaken (or an extension applied for).

Must submit 20 hours of CECs earned after the certification's renewal date; extra hours beyond 20 do not carry over. CECs may come from MANIA conventions, other SCW live/online certifications, SCW CEC online video courses, SCW Approved Providers, MANIA sponsors, or fitness-related accredited college/university courses. CEC videos FAQ states 2 of the 20 credits must come from SCW Fitness. CPR card copy is no longer required and CPR credits are not accepted toward the 20 CECs. Non-approved courses can be petitioned for SCW CEC approval ($25 base review fee).
