Valid 2 years; may renew up to 6 months before expiration while keeping original date. Late renewal allowed up to 6 months after expiration ($20 late fee); after 6 months certification is forfeited and the course must be retaken (or an extension applied for).

20 hours of CECs required every 2 years from courses taken after the certification's renewal date; excess hours above 20 do not carry over. CPR credits are not accepted toward the 20 CECs and a CPR card copy is no longer required. Acceptable CECs: all SCW live/online certifications and MANIA conventions, SCW Approved Providers (including MANIA sponsors), and fitness-related college/university courses. Retain documentation of CEs earned.
