Certification valid 2 years. May renew up to 6 months before expiration and keep original expiration date. CECs must be earned after the certification's renewal date; excess hours beyond 20 do not carry over. Six-month grace period after expiration (with $20 late fee); after 6 months the certification is forfeited unless an extension is purchased ($75 for an additional 90 days), otherwise the course must be retaken.

Renewal requires submitting 20 hours of CECs earned after the prior renewal date; retain documentation. Acceptable sources: SCW live/online certifications, MANIA conventions, SCW Approved CEC Providers, MANIA sponsors, and fitness-related college/university courses. CPR credits are not accepted toward the 20 hours and a CPR card copy is no longer required. Separate forms exist for renewing a single certification vs. multiple certifications.
