Certification valid 2 years; renew by expiration date. May renew up to 6 months in advance and keep original expiration date. $20 late fee if renewed after expiration; if not renewed within 6 months of expiration, certification is forfeited and the course must be retaken (or an extension applied for).

Must submit 20 hours of CECs earned after the certification's renewal date; excess hours beyond 20 do not carry over. CPR credits are not accepted toward the 20 CECs and a CPR card copy is no longer required. One SCW store FAQ states 2 of the 20 CECs must come from SCW Fitness. CECs may be earned at MANIA conventions, other SCW live/online certifications, SCW CEC online video courses, or SCW Approved Providers. Separate renewal form exists for multiple certifications.
