Two attempts to pass. Exam must be completed within 60 days of purchase of an Online Certification (two weeks after a live course); an extension can be applied for with a $75 fee. If not passed after two attempts, apply for an extension and retake by contacting SCW.

Certification valid 2 years; may renew up to 6 months before expiration while keeping the original expiration date. A 6-month grace period after expiration applies (with $20 late fee); after 6 months the certification is forfeited and the course must be retaken (or an extension applied for).

Must submit 20 hours of CECs earned after the certification's renewal date; extra hours beyond 20 do not carry over to the next period. CPR credits are not accepted toward the 20 hours and a CPR card copy is no longer required. CECs may be earned via MANIA® conventions, other SCW live/online certifications, SCW Approved Providers, or fitness-related accredited college/university courses.
