Retake policy
Two attempts to pass; exam must be completed within 60 days of purchase of an Online Certification (two weeks after a live training). No time limit per sitting; typically takes about one hour. If not passed after two attempts or not completed in the timeframe, you can apply for an extension ($75 fee) and retake by contacting SCW.

Certification valid 2 years. May renew up to 6 months before expiration and keep original expiration date. If not renewed by expiration date, a $20 late fee applies; renewal possible up to 6 months after expiration, after which the certification is forfeited and the course must be retaken (or an extension applied for). CECs must be earned after the certification's renewal date; excess hours beyond 20 do not carry over.

Generic SCW renewal policy applies to all SCW certifications including this 8-hour Media & Marketing Online Certification (course awards SCW 7.0 CECs). CECs may be earned at MANIA conventions, other SCW live/online certifications, SCW CEC online video courses, or SCW Approved Providers. One FAQ page states 2 of the 20 CECs must come from SCW Fitness. CPR credits are not accepted toward the 20 CECs and a CPR card copy is no longer required.
