Certification valid 2 years. May renew up to 6 months before expiration while keeping original expiration date. Renewing after expiration incurs a $20 late fee; if not renewed within 6 months of expiration the certification is forfeited and the course must be retaken (or an extension applied for).

Must submit 20 hours of CECs earned after the certification's renewal date; extra hours beyond 20 do not carry over. One FAQ page states 2 of the 20 CECs must come from SCW Fitness. CPR credits are NOT accepted toward the 20 CECs and a CPR card copy is no longer required. Retain documentation of all CE earned.
