Certification valid 2 years; may renew up to 6 months before expiration while keeping original date. 6-month grace period after expiration (late fee applies); after 6 months the certification is forfeited and the course must be retaken (or an extension applied for).

Must submit 20 hours of CECs earned after the certification's renewal date; extra hours beyond 20 do not carry over. CPR credits are not accepted toward the 20 CECs and a CPR card copy is no longer required. SCW CEC Video FAQ states 2 of the 20 credits must come from SCW Fitness. Exam for the online certification must be completed within 60 days of purchase (80% to pass, two attempts); $75 extension fee, $35 materials/certificate replacement fee.
