Certification valid 2 years; may renew up to 6 months before expiration while keeping original date. Late renewal allowed up to 6 months after expiration (late fee); after 6 months the certification is forfeited and the course must be retaken (or an extension applied for).

Must submit 20 hours of CECs earned after the certification's renewal date; excess hours do not carry over. Exam page states a minimum of 2 of the 20 CECs must come from SCW Fitness. CPR credits are not accepted toward the 20 CECs and no CPR card copy is required. Renewal is completed online (separate forms for single vs. multiple certifications); documentation of CECs must be retained.
