Effective January 1, 2025, new and current USATF Level 2 coaches must complete a USATF-approved continuing education course each renewal period; specific Level 2 recertification course options/procedures are listed as 'TBA / coming soon' and no CEU-hour total is published for Level 2 (the 8 CEU-hour rule applies to Level 1). At renewal, USATF membership and SafeSport training must be current. USATF Level 3 coaches are exempt from Level 2 recertification; Level 2 holders are exempt from Level 1 recertification.
